Born in Brooklyn. Currently in Los Angeles.

I’ve always been a storyteller. As a young child, I would entertain myself by inventing plays and skits to perform with my younger brother on the roof of our building in Brooklyn. As soon as I learned how to write, I started committing my original screenplays and short stories to paper. Before the availability of smartphones, I would instruct my mother to record with her Flip video camera while I directed my brother and any willing playmates to act out my stories. The summer before fourth grade I was uprooted from Brooklyn when we moved to a small town in the California Bay Area called Kensington. I recruited a new group of friends with whom I made music videos, short films, stop-motion films, and film parodies. I loved coming up with scripts and screen directions for my new crew.

My interest in film continued when I moved to Montclair, NJ where there is a global film festival every spring. I met like-minded film enthusiasts in middle school, and we collaborated on film projects which we entered in the Emerging Filmmakers competition. Being recognized for our creative efforts was very gratifying.

I would spend much of high school focused on various projects with fellow film nerds. The entire process was so rewarding that I realized filmmaking was something I wanted to devote my life to. I chose San Diego State University after I visited the campus and fell in love with it. Getting accepted into the production emphasis of the Theater, Film, and New Media program offered me many opportunities for hands-on experience and I learned about every aspect of film production. I am eager to take that experience into the world and continue to learn and grow.

When I am not working on films or sketching, I like to sing and play the piano. I also love hiking, swimming, boating, or pretty much any activity that gets me outdoors into the sunshine.
